A BRADFORD car dealership has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 for failing a police request.
HS Enterprise, in Westcliffe Road, Shipley was found guilty of not providing police with the identity of a driver who was alleged to have committed an offence on May 10 last year.
The case was heard at Harrogate Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The firm pleaded not guilty on March 8 but did have a representative in court earlier in the week.
HS Enterprise was proved guilty in its absence.
It is in relation to a request made at the Traffic Bureau in York by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for North Yorkshire.
The request was for information from HS Enterprise relating to the identification of the driver of a white Ford Fiesta, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
The vehicle's tax on March 1 this year according to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
HS Enterprise was ordered by the court to pay £1,720 in total.
This includes a £1,000 fine, a £100 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £620.
The balance must be paid by June 20.
