DIRECTORS of two Bradford companies have been fined thousands for failing to file accounts and reports on time over two financial years.
Sanjay Bhardwaj, 56 and Suman Bhardwaj, 51, both of Harrogate Road in Greengates, were found guilty of four offences each last Thursday at Cardiff Magistrates' Court.
The offences were four counts of failing to comply with Section 441 duty of The Companies Act 2006 to file accounts and reports with the registrar.
Two of the counts for each of the men relate to SSB Retail Ltd and two to SSB Empire Ltd – both based in Greengates.
The pair are directors of both companies.
Both failed to deliver before February 28, 2021 a copy of SSB Retail’s and SSB Empire’s accounts for the financial year ending February 28, 2020 to the Registrar of Companies at Companies House in Cardiff.
They also failed to deliver before November 30, 2021 a copy of the same companies’ accounts for the financial year ending February 28, 2021.
Both were ordered to pay £3,204 in total.
The total relating for each to SSB Retail was £735.
This included a £660 fine and costs of £75.
Both men were ordered to pay £867 in total for SSB Empire.
This included a £660 fine, a surcharge of £132 to fund victim services and costs of £75.
Companies House shows the last accounts made for both companies were the financial period ending February 28, 2019.
SSB Retail and SSB Empire are both shown as being active companies on the website.
They were incorporated on the same day – February 9, 2015.
