POLICE issued tickets to several drivers in the Otley, Yeadon, Menston, Guiseley and Rawdon areas for traffic officers during patrols yesterday (Monday).
A spokesperson for the Leeds North West said: "Officers assisted your local NPT with patrols in the Otley, Yeadon, Menston, Guiseley and Rawdon areas focused on the 'Fatal 4' offences: - Not wearing a seatbelt - speed - distraction such as mobile phones - impairment via drink or drugs.
"During the shift, four drivers were given tickets for not wearing a seatbelt, two for using their mobile phones whilst driving, one vehicle was seized for having no insurance and two given tickets for not securing the load they were transporting.
"It takes a few minutes to check your insurance and seconds to clip your seatbelt in."
