POLICE have fined drivers for using a Horsforth road as a "cut-through".
A spokesperson for Leeds North West Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Whilst between taskings yesterday, one of our officers parked up on Park Drive, Horsforth.
"There have been complaints from local residents about drivers using the road as a cut-through to avoid queues.
"Only took a couple of minutes before the first £50 penalty notice was issued to a local driver who claimed not to have noticed the two long-standing no entry signs.
"Further checks will take place in the near future."
