The Sunday Times Rich List is finally out, revealing some of Bradford's wealthiest business tycoons.
Among the top names are the family of William Morrison, the Bradford-based entrepreneur who made his fortune through supermarket chain Morrisons, and the billionaire Issa brothers with links to the city.
There are 247 places on the Sunday Times Rich List, showcasing the UK's richest businesspeople and how their wealth changed throughout the year.
The UK's richest people in 2022 are Sri and Gopi Hinduja and their family, worth £28,472 billion.
Mohsin and Zuber Issa
Bagging the 39th spot, Mohsin and Zuber Issa are worth £4.73 billion, having increased their wealth by £50 million since the last Rich List in 2021.
The brothers' parents, Vali and Zubeda, moved to the UK in the 1970s to work in the textile industry, moving from Gujarat, India, to Bradford.
They later ran their own petrol station, where the brothers worked as teenagers, before selling it after deciding there was little profit to be made.
Mohsin and Zuber Issa made their fortunes after successfully transforming their business from one rented petrol station into a network of almost 6,000 forecourts across 10 countries.
In 2021, the pair bought Asda - one of the UK’s biggest employers - in a reported £6.8 billion deal.
The Issa brothers' own petrol forecourt giant EG Group, which also bought healthy fast food chain Leon and bakery business Cooplands in 2021.
The pair said they hope to create some 22,700 jobs across the UK over the next five years as it continues its rapid growth.
It said most of the new roles will be across its expanding foodservice business.
EG Group also plans to open new food concessions at Asda stores.
