The Muslim Women’s Council is hosting a series of free weekly workshops on Islamic art and calligraphy.
The women-only sessions will be led by Razwan Ul Haq, a well-known artist who uses bamboo pens (qalam) on wooden board (takhti) to create meaningful pieces.
Women of all levels of ability are welcome at the workshops, taking place every Thursday from 11.30am to 1pm at Manningham Library.
Participants will get the chance to experiment with a range of media, including traditional bamboo calligraphy pens and hand mixed ink.
All work created during the sessions will be put on display in Bradford, the Muslim Women’s Council said.
People can book now by emailing the council via directorsoffice@muslimwomenscouncil.org.uk or calling the number, 01274 223230.
