POLICE officers conducted a knife sweep following concerns about a number of anti-social behaviour incidents in a park.
A spokesperson for the Kirklees Neighbourhood Policing Team at Dewsbury and Mirfield said: "Coronation Park, off Manchester Road, Milnsbridge, has recently been the location of a number of anti-social behaviour logs involving local youths.
"There have been a number of calls for service on evenings from local businesses and residents concerned about the behaviour of youths drinking and smashing bottles in the children's playground.
"As part of Op Sceptre knife crime week of action, officers conducted a knife sweep around Coronation Park and the surrounding woodland, as well as clearing up broken glass from the floor of the playground.
"The unopened alcohol seen in the photos by the playground were believed to have been consumed by the youths, so their left behinds were disposed of responsibly, to deter any further anti-social behaviour occurring."
