POLICE are reminding fans to allow themselves extra time when travelling to tonight's much-anticipated second leg Sky Bet Championship play-off match at Huddersfield Town.
Graham Dyson, police inspector for the Huddersfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Just a reminder that Huddersfield Town are playing Luton Town at John Smiths Stadium this evening. Kick-off 7:45pm.
"The fixture is almost a sell-out with around 24,000 tickets sold.
"We still have roadworks in the Leeds Road area, so please if you are going to the match or need to drive through the area ensure you plan your journey and allow a little extra time.
"We have been working hard with roadwork contractors to ensure the area is as clear as possible for this evening to prevent traffic issues, and we have our extra police resources in place to deal with any football-related incidents.
"If you are attending the match or going into town for the evening I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable evening."
