A man has been robbed of a bag of cash outside a bank in Wibsey, Bradford.

The man was about to enter the NatWest when he was assaulted by two men at 9am on Friday. They ran off with the bag towards North Road and were driven off in a silver Ford Mondeo, KB 05 WGK.

Police believe a third person was driving the car, which was later found on fire in the Woodside area of Bradford.

The suspects were described as white, wearing hooded tops and spoke with local accents. One was 5ft 10ins tall, the second man was shorter.

The attack comes a week after a man was attacked outside the NatWest in Manningham Lane, Bradford, by two robbers with an axe who took £30,000. Police have an open mind on whether or not they were connected.

Witnesses to the Wibsey robbery should call Bradford South CID on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
