Budding filmmakers will be given the opportunity to produce cutting edge short films thanks to a partnership between Channel 4 and Bradford Council.
‘UNHEARD, UNSEEN, UNSAYABLE’ will challenge filmmakers to produce their most creative and provocative work with a total grant fund of £50,000.
Applicants will be asked to pitch by responding to one of three themes:
• Giving a voice to the UNHEARD - Who is without a voice in UK society today?
• Showing the UNSEEN - What has been or still is censored?
• Saying the UNSAYABLE - What challenges assumptions about society today?
Four grants of £10,000 will be awarded for films between 13 to 15 minutes long.
Ten grants of £1,000 will be offered to successful Bradford district applicants to produce short films between 4 to 7 minutes in length.
Successful applicants will get to work with professionals from Channel 4 who will offer their invaluable experience and expertise.
Both factual and fictional proposals will be considered.
