A BRADFORD man has appeared in court charged with stealing condoms and body spray from a city shop.
Andrzej Wisniewski, 28, of Glenholme Road, Manningham, was given a community order for two offences.
In the first charge, theft from a shop, he was convicted of stealing condoms and body spray, worth a total of £116.14, from Asda Living, Forster Square Retail Park, Bradford, on April 6, 2022.
He was also ordered to pay £116 compensation, £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge for this offence.
In the second charge, failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, he was convicted at Bradford of failing, without reasonable cause, to surrender to custody at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings. This incident took place on April 29, 2022.
Under the terms of the community order, he was given a rehabilitation activity requirement by May 11, 2023.
He was also ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work in the community within the next 12 months. A collection order was also made by the court at the hearing.
Wisniewski pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 12, 2022.
