TRADERS in Bradford will now be able to grab a bargain at a huge new cash and carry warehouse on the outskirts of the city centre.

TB Cash and Carry opened its doors on Summerville Road earlier this week, after moving from its previous location on Legrams Lane to upscale the premises.

Customers will be able to purchase branded products in bulk, such as crates of Coca-cola and Vimto, branded crisps including Walkers and Space-raiders and giant boxes of Haribo and Malteser sweets in the new 10,000-foot warehouse.

Sital Patel, who owns the business with his father, explained that TB Cash and Carry has been running for more than 30 years, and the reason they can get the goods so cheaply, is because of the long-running relationships with suppliers and because of the amount they can buy in bulk.

He said: “The business is named after my father, Tim, who started it up in Halifax years and years ago. He started out as a retailer and then he saw the opportunity to supply other retail stores so then he had the idea to set up a depot like this and we’ve just kept it going.”

Sital said that the business has been going since 1985 and the family also own a similar depot in Leeds.

“It’s more to supply retailers and traders with goods, like petrol stations and other shops and people have to come in to sign up. We mainly sell confectionery, crisps, snacks, softs drinks and chocolate to the trade. ”

The business has direct contact with suppliers such as Walkers and Cadbury who provide the products, and the move of premises has meant that TB Cash and Carry can provide a wider range of goods.

When the T&A visited the warehouse, they noticed impressive deals such as a 24 pack of Red Bull for less than £17 and crates of Bounty’s for less than £8.

There were also forklift truck drivers inside to keep the huge towers of delicious goods fully stocked.
