A BRADFORD man has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 for failing to comply with police.
Mohammad Khalil, 46, of Springcliffe Street in Manningham, was found guilty of not complying with a police request and was sentenced on Monday at Sheffield Magistrates' Court.
Khalil had pleaded not guilty to the offence on January 21.
It was in relation to a request made in Sheffield by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for South Yorkshire, on June 7 last year.
The request was for information from Khalil relating to the identification of the driver of a white Citroen Berlingo, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Khalil was ordered by the court to pay £1,178 in total.
This includes a £525 fine, a £53 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £600.
The 46-year-old will pay £50 a month from June 6.
The court also imposed six points on Khalil's driving licence.
