A BRADFORD man has been jailed for a spate of thefts from city shops.
Darren Smith, 46, of Pemberton Drive, has been jailed for a total of 10 weeks for theft from a shop charges.
He was jailed for two weeks for stealing razor blades, worth £30, from Asda, Bradford, on March 18, 2022.
He was committed to prison for two weeks, to run consecutively, for stealing goods worth £161.75 including alcohol, meat and coffee, from Co-op Food Store, Bradford, on March 7, 2022. He was ordered to pay £233.95 compensation and a £128 victim surcharge.
He was also sentenced to two weeks in prison, to run consecutively, for stealing £12 worth of mixed goods from Marks & Spencer at Bradford Royal Infirmary, Duckworth Lane, Bradford, on December 9, 2021. Smith was ordered to pay £12 compensation.
Smith was committed to prison for another two weeks, to run consecutively, for stealing £72.20 of meat, from the Co-op Food Store, Thornton Road, Bradford, on March 10, 2022.
He received a further two-week prison term, to run consecutively, for stealing £50 worth of meat from the Co-op, Whitehall Road, Bradford, on March 9, 2022.
Smith was sentenced at Kirklees Magistrates Court on May 3, 2022.
