It's been a busy time with the transfer deadline and, like a lot of clubs, we've done a bit of business this week.

It's the time of year when clubs look to make a push and hopefully our signings can help us do that.

There's a few new faces and they've looked impressive so far but you can't really judge until they've had a good run of games.

I'm sure they'll get that and help us build on this good run of form we're currently having.

It was a bit strange what happened with Donovan.

The club had accepted an offer and he'd gone down to QPR and was probably looking forward to joining a Championship outfit who have a lot of money to spend. He'll have been looking at bigger and better things and it'd have been a great opportunity for him, although we'd have been sorry to see him go. It's fallen through now though and he's back training at Bradford.

I'm sure he'll be focused on doing the best he can for us until the end of the season or until anything else happens. He's a good lad and, if we're honest, although we're sorry he didn't get that move, we're also quite pleased he's still here as he's a great guy to have around and a good player.

As for me and this injury, I've tried a bit of jogging on the treadmill and it feels okay but I've got another couple of weeks before I can push on properly.

On Saturday we're at Macclesfield who have picked up some results themselves of late.

They've made some signings too, getting Michael Symes on loan who we all know about. He had a lot of potential at City but didn't have much chance to show it so I'm sure he'll be up for a big game, making life difficult for us.

We're going well though and have started scoring goals too.

We've also been getting a little bit of luck for a change with some going in deflected. Little things like that can change a season. If we can carry on this form, who's to say where we'll finish up.
