TOURIST accommodation could be built at an Eldwick farm if new plans are approved.
A planning application to demolish stables at Higher Heights Farm and replace it with a new four-bedroom accommodation building has been submitted to Bradford Council.
The site lies within the Green Belt, but the application says the building will replace "unsightly" stables, and will be a similar footprint to the buildings it will replace.
The farm is a five minute walk from Eldwick and a short distance from Bingley.
The application, by the Lindley family, says: "It is considered that the development will lead to a significant visual enhancement of the site through the removal of a number of architecturally poor buildings, which are unsightly, with a new building which is of high-quality contemporary design.

"Whilst the building is contemporary, it has been designed in a manner which reflects the history of the site.
"The proposal will also provide a boost to the rural economy through the provision of a tourist related development, with occupants making a contribution to the local economy, as well as the local businesses that will be employed during construction of the building."
A decision on the application is expected in June.
