A BRADFORD man has appeared in court for a charge of driving off without paying for fuel.
Stewart Hawkins, 48, of Broadstone Way, faced one charge of making off without making payment.
Hawkins, knowing that payment on the spot for goods supplied, namely fuel, was required or expected from, or required from him, dishonestly made off without having paid for intent to avoid payment of fuel worth a total of £70.01.
The offence took place in Bradford on November 7, 2021.
Hawkins was handed a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £85 costs, £70.01 compensation and a £22 victim surcharge for the offence.
Hawkins pleaded guilty to the charge when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on April 12, 2022.
