A MAN is in a critical condition after crashing his electric scooter into a lamppost in Leeds.
Officers were contacted at 7.45pm by the ambulance service who were attending a road traffic collision on York Road.
The rider, 29, was travelling in a cycle lane near to the junction with Harehills Lane when he has lost control, colliding with a lamppost before falling from the scooter.
No other vehicle was involved.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
