A MAN has been charged after a cannabis farm worth more than £150,000 was discovered in Bradford at the weekend.
Officers from the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) swooped on an address in the Wibsey area on Saturday after receiving community intelligence.
A spokesperson said: "A male emerged from the back door attempting to flee and was detained by officers. The address was confirmed to be a substantial cannabis grow with estimated value of in excess of £150,000.
Xhefri Ismali, 25, of no fixed abode, was arrested and faces cannabis charge.
He appeared before Bradford Magistrates yesterday.
The police spokesperson added: "The circumstances would suggest the involvement of an organised crime group and enquiries are ongoing to establish identities of those higher up the chain by specialists within West Yorkshire Police.
"There is a much bigger picture than just producing cannabis."
