Strong winds caused delays for passengers at Leeds-Bradford Airport today.
The gusts resulted in some flights being up to three and a half hours late.
Passengers going to Chambery in France took off at 9.47am instead of 6.10am and a Salzburg flight left at 9.50am instead of its scheduled 6.10am.
Air traffic controllers who take wind speed measurements every 20 minutes said by lunchtime the gusts had peaked at 52 miles an hour.
The biggest disruption was to early-morning flights out.
Arrivals stayed mainly unaffected although one flight from Belfast had to be diverted to Teesside, said an airport spokesman.
"By the afternoon we were catching up on any delays," she added.
