Police have revealed the reason behind an armed police swoop in Lister Park at the weekend.
West Yorkshire Police is continuing to search for a group of Asian men aged between 25 and 35 following an alleged attack at a funfair.
The incident took place some time between 3.45 and 4pm on Sunday, April 24.
West Yorkshire Police deployed a team of armed police to the funfair while a police helicopter searched for culprits in the sky.
A force spokesperson said: "Due to information initially received, armed police were deployed to the scene and officers remained at the park to deter further disorder."

The suspects fled the scene after the victim resisted, though it left them with minor injuries.
Enquiries into the alleged attack remain ongoing, police said.
