A FORMER church could be demolished to make way for shops and industrial units it a newly revealed development is approved.
The chapel, based at 114 Undercliffe Road in Eccleshill, is "no longer feasible to repair" - according to a planning application submitted to Bradford Council.
Submitted by a Mr Kabir, the proposals call for the church, which has more recently been used as a workshop, to be flattened and replaced by a new building.
This building would have two small shops facing onto Undercliffe Road and four industrial units that would be accessed by a side street.

Five parking spaces would be created for the development.
The application says: "The current property due to ongoing issues it is no longer feasible to repair and maintain due to the costs associated with undertaking such repair works."
A decision on the application is expected next month.
