SIR - Yobs have been causing havoc on the Ravenscliffe estate (T&A, April 20), and it is believed that a group of youths, aged between seven and 15, are the source of the misery.

The T&A also reported on April 18 that sundry young people were caught carrying bladed weapons which unbelievably included 22 under the age of 15.

All these issues beg the question where were the parents in all this? They seem to be abrogating any responsibility for their offspring, and surely need to be brought before the courts whenever arrests are made.

Indeed, are some of them fit to retain custody of their children at all, one has to ask?
