VALLEY Parade will play host to Bradford City Under-19s’ final fixture of the EFL Youth Alliance North East Division season against Doncaster Rovers on Monday May 9, after an Under-14s friendly against Brighouse Town - in memory of the late Tomi Solomon - the day before.
Martin Drury’s youth team were crowned league champions last weekend, with a 2-0 victory at second-placed Grimsby Town on Saturday, April 9.
And, having had the trophy presented at half-time of this Saturday’s first-team fixture against Scunthorpe United, supporters will again be able to congratulate the young Bantams at Valley Parade, two days after the final game of the League Two campaign.
Action in BD8 on Monday, May 9 is set to get underway from 7pm, with a £2 pay-on-the-turnstiles admission fee across all age categories in The JCT600 Family Stand (West).
Entry to the stadium will be from 6.15pm onwards, with one kiosk open and free car parking available - on a first-come, first-served basis - in the Burlington Street Car Park.
Only cash will be accepted on turnstiles on Monday, May 9, with no facility to gain admission through paying by card.
The day before, on Sunday, May 8 (4pm), Valley Parade will again play host to academy action, in the form of a friendly fixture between City’s and Brighouse Town’s respective Under-14s sides.
The game will be played in memory of the late Tomi Solomon, who tragically passed away last year, with many of his former City team-mates taking to the field on the day.
Admission will be free for this fixture through the WD entry gate on Valley Parade (opposite the entrance to The City Shop) from 3.15pm. Spectators will again be situated in the lower tier of The JCT600 Family Stand (West), with a kiosk open inside.
Only street parking will be available on the day, with the game timed at 30 minutes per half.
Buckets will be on hand around the stadium on the day to collect donations, with all profits taken from the two fixtures to be sent directly to The King's Church, Halifax, at the request of Tomi Solomon’s family.
In addition to these two matches, Lincoln City will also host their meeting with the Bantams’ Under-19s side at the LNER Stadium on Saturday, April 30, directly following the conclusion of their first-team fixture against Crewe Alexandra.
Drury’s side’s penultimate fixture of the season will get underway from 3.30pm at Sincil Bank, following the Imps’ clash with the Alex at 12.30pm, as part of their ‘End of Season Festival’ involving live music and fairground rides.
