West Yorkshire Police have released footage shown in court of the moment killer driver Jordan Glover deliberately forced a quad bike off the road.

Today Glover has been convicted of the murder of the quad bike's passenger Rahees Mahmood, 18, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent to its rider Tommy-Lee Haigh, 19.

Man jailed for life for murdering teenager by deliberately forcing quad bike off the road

He has been jailed for life with a minimum term of more than 18 years behind bars before he can apply for parole.

The video shows the moments leading up to the fatal crash in Holme Wood.

The two men on the quad bike are chased along Broadstone Way by Glover in his silver Ford Focus.

Within moments the two vehicles overtake another car. Very shortly after, the Ford Focus makes contact with the quad bike, which spins around, throwing off both the teenagers.

After this, Glover drove on and abandoned his uninsured car nearby.

Speaking after the case, Detective Chief Inspector Tony Nicholson of West Yorkshire Police said: “There are no winners in this case. An 18-year-old man lost his life with devastating consequences for his family and friends and a 24-year-old man will be spending a minimum of 18 years in prison.

“I hope this serves as a stark warning to other young men in the Holmewood area who might be engaging in petty damage, assaults, dangerous driving or anti-social behaviour that sometimes it can have serious and deadly consequences.”
