A CHILD pedestrian was rushed to hospital following a crash yesterday evening.
The collision occurred at around 5pm on Bradford Road in Batley.
The child suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening.
Bradford Road was closed in the hours after the incident.
A police spokesperson said: "At 5.07pm yesterday police were called by the ambulance service to reports of a road traffic collision involving a child pedestrian on Bradford Road, Batley.
"The child was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
"Road closures were in place at the time but have since been removed."
