An air hostess on her way home to Addingham from Scotland was clocked doing 90mph in her Mini Cooper, a court heard.
Janine Heptonstall, 41, had just taken over the driving from her husband, a consultant, on October 28 when she accelerated to overtake two cars on the Settle bypass.
Heptonstall, a cabin crew member with British Midland at Leeds Bradford Airport, was normally a careful and considerate driver, Skipton magistrates were told.
Heptonstall, of Cross Bank Road, admitted speeding.
She was fined £120 and had her licence endorsed with five penalty points.
She was also ordered to pay £45 costs and a £15 victim's surcharge.
