Budding athletes in Bradford are being urged to put their best feet forward to support a cancer charity.
Sue Ryder Care's Manorlands hospice in Oxenhope had a positive response from residents when it appealed for runners to support the charity in this year's London Marathon.
Now less ambitious runners are being urged to take on smaller races, including the Great North Run half-marathon and fun runs, to help patients.
The charity cared for more than 650 people last year and relies on help to raise the £1.9 million needed every year to keep the centre going.
Jodie Shepherd, area fundraising manager at Sue Ryder Care, said: "Lots of us set a personal fitness challenge for the new year, but it is not always easy to keep up.
"Running is a great way to get fit and feel fantastic and by choosing a specific running event for Sue Ryder Care, people have something to aim for.
"Sue Ryder Care looks after its runners and is with them every step of the way to keep motivation levels high."
