A VOLUNTARY organisation in Bradford supporting children of all abilities, is looking for more members for its weekly club.
PHAB Club runs every Wednesday evening from 7.15 pm and whilst the club is primarily for children with disabilities, all children are encouraged to partake in the varied activities.
The club promotes self-confidence and promotes growth in all the children involved.
Activities include archery, painting, dance workshops, theatre trips, and theme park visits at no cost or a small cost.
Akbar Khan, Chairman of the PHAB club has been part of the organisation for over 40 years. He attended the club as a child alongside his brothers and has been involved with the club since.
He said:” We provide a safe space for children of all abilities, and we have a good time.
“It gives parents a bit of respite and children have something to look forward to on an evening.”
Currently, there are around 40 members in the group, ranging from the age of four to organisers who are 50 plus.
Over the Easter break, the club held free Sports sessions for children at the East Bierley Cricket Club.
