PEOPLE from all faiths and backgrounds will be coming together tomorrow, on Good Friday, to celebrate the third year of 'Fasting Friday'.
Across the district, people will be coming together with Muslims to keep one fast and abstain from eating and drinking from dawn till dusk.
Everyone partaking is invited to break their fast at City Park, where an iftar will be held, and food will be provided by MyLahore.
The interfaith event hopes to bridge the gap between communities and celebrate the diverse people of Bradford.
The event has been set up by Bradford Foundation Trust, with support from the community group Bradford 4 Better and The Bradford 2025 City of Culture team.
Dr Sohail Ahmed, Chair of Bradford 4 Better, said: “Bradford is a city of faith, culture, and diversity. A city of sanctuary, with an amazing community spirit. Without a doubt, the city of great food.
“The annual Fasting Friday event brings together all these amazing qualities and the many people that make Bradford so great.”
Participants are encouraged to donate their lunch and coffee money to Bradford Foundation Trust, which supports vulnerable people across the district.
