A 23-year-old law graduate from Bradford is set to appear on the latest series of BBC One's Masterchef.
Radha Kaushal-Bolland will be taking on her first heat week as she vies to earn the respect of judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
At this stage in the competition, the first four Masterchef episodes each week will see contestants go head to head before the quarter final in episode five.
Six contestants enter each heat and the winner will become a quarter-finalist.
But who is Radha and what was she doing before the show?
Radha on Masterchef - what we know
Durham-born Radha spent part of her young life growing up in County Durham before the family moved to Bradford.
Radha boarded at the now closed Malsis School and Repton School, Derbyshire.
She lives with her parents, brother and 14-year-old yellow Labrador, Elsa.
Despite just completing her law degree, Radha has dreams of working in the food industry.
"My heart lies in food," Radha said.
"I only started cooking during lockdown as a means to alleviate some of the stress from my final exams at university. I haven’t been cooking for very long, but I feel like it comes naturally to me.
"I’ve always been creative, into my music and drama so cooking allows me to use my transferable skills to show my creative flair for food.
"I’d love to see how good I am. I want to push myself to see how far I can take my cooking – by creating new ideas and delicious new recipes and competing against other cooks."
Drawing from her dual Indian-British heritage, Radha likes to mix Indian cuisine with Western adaptations while pairing her food with cocktails.
"I love to recreate classic British desserts as they remind me of the puddings I ate at boarding school," Radha said.
Having been a vegetarian for most of her life, Radha cooks with plant-based products and carries a vision of "elevating a humble vegetable and giving it a spicy twist".
The food lover also enjoys cooking seafood for others, despite not eating it herself.
Radha described being on MasterChef as a "dream come true", having watched the show religiously.
She said: "MasterChef is my programme of choice as it brings back fond memories each year when I look forward to watching the latest series on TV. So being on MasterChef was a dream come true."
