A SHIPLEY man has been jailed for causing criminal damage at a Bradford pub and theft from shops.
Zahim Shah, 44, of Central Avenue, was jailed for a total of 12 weeks.
He was committed to prison for four weeks for a charge of causing criminal damage to property valued under £5,000. On January 31, 2022, he damaged a glass panel worth £300 belonging to Wetherspoons in Bradford. He was also ordered to pay £300 compensation for this charge.
Shah was jailed for six weeks, to run consecutively, for a theft from a shop offence. He stole foodstuffs, worth £20, from Wilko’s stores in Bradford on January 5, 2022. He was also ordered to pay £20 compensation for this offence.
Shah was committed to prison for two weeks, to run consecutively, for a charge of failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on April 1, 2022.
He was committed to prison for six weeks, to run concurrently, for a further theft from a shop charge. Shah stole confectionary, worth £40, from HMV in Bradford, on January 10, 2022. He was also ordered to pay £40 compensation.
Shah pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on April 5, 2022.
