A BRADFORD man has appeared in court charged with using racially aggravated behaviour towards a police officer.
Wasam Hussain, 31, of Sherwell Rise, was given a community order for a host of offences.
He was convicted for a charge of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress – words/writing with intent towards a police officer on April 4, 2022.
Hussain was also ordered to pay £200 compensation, pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs for this offence.
Under the community order he was ordered to carry out 250 hours unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months. A collection order was also made by the court.
Hussain pleaded guilty to the charge when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on April 6, 2022.
