A 40-YEAR-old Bradford man is to go on trial over charges of dangerous driving and possessing cocaine and a knife.

Mohammed Shaheed, of Silverhill Road, Bradford, appeared before Leeds Magistrates' Court on April 11.

The charges relate to April 9, 2022, when he was spotted driving a vehicle on the A6110 in Leeds.

He is charged with one count of driving a motor vehicle dangerously and one count of driving while disqualified.

Shaheed is also charged with possession of Class A drug cocaine, and possession of a knife, as well as using a vehicle on a road without third-party insurance.

His case has been sent for trial to Leeds Crown Court and the next hearing is expected to take place on May 9, 2022, and he was remanded in custody.
