HEARING the dawn chorus is so uplifting. Listening to the collective sounds of birds twittering, tweeting and chirping as the morning unfolds is an experience you won’t forget.
Airedale & Bradford RSPB is holding a free guided dawn chorus walk with Mark Doveston at St Ives, Bingley, on Sunday May 1 - International Dawn Chorus Day.
Anyone wishing to attend the walk should meet at 7am at the parking spaces near Coppice Pond.
The Airedale & Bradford group hold monthly indoor meetings between September and April and run a series of local guided walks - usually on the weekend following its meetings. These walks usually last between two and three hours, and are conducted at a very leisurely ‘birdwatching pace’.
You do not need to be a member of the RSPB to join us these events, and birdwatching experience is not necessary.
The local group’s aim is to support actively the work of the RSPB in the local community and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in the society’s conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities.
If you have any questions about the walk or group please call 01274 582078 or e-mail abrspb@blueyonder.co.uk
