THREE Bradford boxers narrowly missed out on last four places in their respective weight classes at the England Boxing National Championships.
Former Bradford (Park Avenue) and Halifax Town footballer Peter Naylor, who spoke about how he had gone from serving jail time to becoming a champion boxer in Saturday's Telegraph & Argus, dropped a split decision in the quarters.
Yorkshire Champion Naylor, of Rourkey's Gym in West Bowling, was beaten by George Howden (Linacre Lane) in the Under 92kg category on Saturday at the University of East London’s SportsDock.
