A BRADFORD man has been fined after arriving in England without proof that he had tested for Covid-19 during his stay abroad.
Mohammad Saghir, 54, of Powell Avenue, appeared in court on one charge of being a person arriving in England failed to possess a coronavirus testing package.
The incident took place at Manchester Airport on March 17, 2021.
Saghir was fined £1,100, ordered to pay a £110 victim surcharge and £90 costs for the offence.
The offence was contrary to regulations 3B(2) and 6(1)(ab) and (4) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020.
Saghir was sentenced at Greater Manchester Magistrates’ Court on March 29, 2022.
