Two girls who went missing in 2018 have now been found safe and well by police.
Bernadett Berki, 16, and Szimonetta Berki, 15, from Kirklees, were subjects of a renewed missing persons appeal following a recent sighting in Dewsbury.
The pair were first reported as missing on Tuesday, March 6, in 2018.
Since their disappearance was reported, West Yorkshire Police launched extensive enquiries to trace the girls, including appeals in the press.
Speaking earlier this week, Detective Chief Inspector Alex Bacon of Kirklees District Police said: “Most of the work has been behind the scenes."
In the latest update from police, the force thanked all those involved in tracking down the missing girls.
A police spokesperson said: "Bernadett Berki (16) and Szimonetta Berki (15) from Kirklees, who were subjects of a previous missing persons appeal both last week and previously in March 2018 have been found safe and well.
"Thanks to all those who assisted with our enquiries."
