A MAN has been jailed for burglary with intent to steal and theft from a shop charges.
Michael Dwyer, 38, of Low Street, Keighley, was jailed for a total of 36 weeks for three offences.
In the first charge, burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal, he was committed to prison for 16 weeks for the incident at Cavendish Court, Lawkholme Lane, Keighley, on January 20, 2022. He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation and £100 costs for this charge.
In the second charge, also burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal, he was committed to prison for 16 weeks, to run consecutively, for the incident, also at Cavendish Court, Lawkholme Lane, Keighley, on January 30, 2022. He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation for this offence.
In the third charge, theft from a shop, Dwyer was committed to prison for four weeks, to run consecutively, for stealing £100 belonging to B&M Stores, Cavendish Street, Keighley, on January 18, 2022. He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation for this offence. A collection order was also made by the court.
Dwyer pleaded guilty to all of the three charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on March 25, 2022.
