A PUB in Bingley is re-opening tomorrow after being taken over by new owners.
The Fisherman's pub on Wagon Lane, Bingley will open its doors with a fresh new look after becoming part of the Bridgehouse Brewery group.
The pub has undergone a kitchen re-fit, a new menu and a change of interior ready to welcome back its customers.
Rachel Whipp, Operations manager for Bridgehouse Breweries said: "The pub has become part of the Bridgehouse brewery group and is another local pub that we thought would be ideal.
"It's a good location on the canal in Bingley, its not too far from the brewery in Riddlesden either. It's just going to be a warm friendly environment, dogs welcome, families welcome and hopefully we will get walkers come through too."
Portuguese couple, and talented chefs Nelson and Gi Dias will be in charge after moving to the UK 4 years ago.
Nelson said: "This is my first business that I've opened and I'm really excited. I'm free now to do all the food that I've learnt and trained to do during my career."
Nelson has worked as a head chef for 17 years, a private chef in Nice, France and at the Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey.
"When you work for someone you're always a bit tied to do what they want, and you can't show what you're really skilled in. Here, I can present lots of food differently from many many countries.
My main objective is to make people happy, enjoy a meal, have a nice evening or lunch and that's it really," he added.
The menu will serve traditional English pub classics such as slowly braised Lamb Shank, beef burgers with beer battered fish and chips, as well as Mediterranean classics like monkfish tails wrapped in parma ham and Portuguese style steak cooked in Garlic.
Operations manager, Rachel Whipp added: "Nelson is very passionate about doing his Portuguese food so there will be a Portuguese night, there will be a quiz night and a cask ale day where cask ales are a certain price, and some live music nights at the weekends too."
The menu will cater for everyone, says Rachel. "It's' going to be vegan friendly, vegetarian friendly, gluten-free friendly, there will be a kids menu. there's something for everyone."
The pub will be open from 10am - 10.30pm, and 11pm on a Saturday.
