Organisers of the Yorkshire Advanced Football Centre's new programme for players aged 15 to 18 were delighted when 22 hopefuls turned up to the first free session.
It was conducted by Mark Senior, who worked last season as the Bradford City youth team under-18 assistant manager.
Coaching is aimed at players who want to get trials for a professional club, try out for a scholarship to the United States or get fixed up with a semi-professional club.
The next training session takes place tomorrow at the Goals Soccer Centre on Kings Road (5-6pm).
