A BRADFORD café is hoping that its new initiative can create a “positive and supportive place” for the people of Bradford to come together.
Bread and Roses on North Parade has launched Tea ‘n’ Talk, in conjunction with Mind in Bradford.
It will provide an opportunity for people to chat and meet new people, and will start on Monday, 11 April – running from 10am to 12pm – and will continue on a weekly basis.
It is part of Bread and Roses’ larger community well-being programme, which aims to reduce isolation.
Tea ‘n’ Talk sessions are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Laura Cooper, Community Well-being Officer, said: “We’re really excited to be partnering with Mind in Bradford to be the first organisation in the district to deliver the Tea ‘n’ Talk programme.”
Labour MP for Bradford West, Naz Shah, visited the cafe recently.
She said: “This is a not just great news for the community of Bradford, but a huge achievement for both Mind in Bradford and Bread and Roses.
“This is especially due to us being in a post-pandemic world where people need these services - so a huge well done to all those involved.”
