“I seen them sometimes walking by and she pushed a shopping trolley.
“They sometimes say ‘hello’.
“What’s happened is very shocking.”
Another local resident paid tribute. She said: “I spoke to the lady and she always seemed nice. She always said ‘hello’ and was friendly and pleasant.
“I’ve lived here over 30 years and I’ve never seen anything like this before. It’s devastating.”
Another neighbour added: “It’s sad. We have a very close and tight-knit community.”
“It’s very sad news,” said another local resident. “God rest their soul.”
“They were very reserved and quiet people. I don’t think they came out much.
“This is the first time that something like this has happened around here.”
