OTLEY-BASED choir Sally's Army is going on tour to Cambrils in Spain this week.
The choir for women's voices, which draws singers from all over Wharfedale, has rehearsed on Zoom for more than a year during lockdown. It gave a pre-tour performance at Our Lady and All Saints Church in Otley on Saturday - its first indoor performance since December 2019.
Musical Director Sally Egan said: "Like choirs all over the world, we took our rehearsals online during the pandemic and rehearsed outdoors as restrictions started to be eased. Throughout the pandemic, we realised that Sally's Army is much more than a group of people who sing together, it's a musical community which provides its members with friendship and support. We're so excited to make music together indoors and to share it with an audience after so long."
Sally’s Army performs regularly at local events and has sung at fundraising concerts.
