Spring definitely felt like it was in the air this week, and the birds in your garden are starting to think of setting up a territory and breeding. Why not check your nest boxes are clean and in a good condition? Put nest boxes up so that they are sheltered from the wind, rain and sun, facing east or north-east and not in full sun. Avoid putting up boxes in busy' areas such as near a bird feeder or right next to a window. If it has a lid, make sure it is secure so magpies and squirrels cannot raid the nest.
