Youngsters at Long Lee Primary in Keighley are set to boost their green credentials even further.
Pupils at the Cherry Tree Rise school already recycle large amounts of waste each week.
And now they are set to create a garden area and outdoor classroom thanks to funding from Keighley Town Council.
Head teacher Louise Smith said: "We plan to use our very large site to create an environmental classroom with a solar panel and wind turbine."
Pupils also run their own office where they regularly offer advice on environmental issues to peers. They have also designed objects from recycled material and painted pictures as part of classes held to educate them on environmental issues.
