A BRADFORD boy aged only 14 has been convicted of robbery and a racially-aggravated offence.
The child, who cannot be named because of his young age, appeared before West Yorkshire Youth Court earlier this month.
He pleaded guilty to robbing another male of a mobile phone at the Girlington Morrisons store on March 20 last year.
"The court finds that this offence was both racially and religiously aggravated," said court documents.
He was also charged with, and pleaded guilty to: racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress - words/writing.
The offence happened on March 21 last year and involved the same victim.
A restraining order was made and the youth was referred to Bradford Youth Offender panel for nine months.
A victim surcharge of £22 must be paid.
