An Amazon parcel robber who struck while on bail for street dealing crack cocaine and heroin has been jailed for four years and eight months.

Jordan Difiori was today sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on a video link to HMP Doncaster for a series of serious offences committed between March and June last year.

Prosecutor Lorena Veale said Difiori, 28, of no fixed address, was caught by the police trafficking Class A drugs in Shipley from his moped on March 23, 2021.

He was seen rummaging in his clothing when he was pulled over and later discovered to have £155 worth of crack cocaine and heroin in his underwear.

Miss Veale said there were 12 wraps of crack cocaine and seven of heroin. A knife was seized from the moped console and Difiori’s phone had evidence of drug dealing on it.

He told the police he was dealing for someone else while homeless and in debt.

Difiori went on to plead guilty to two offences of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of a knife in a public place.

While on bail he burgled a television set from his former address in Shipley on May 14.

He forced his way into the property through the kitchen window to make off with the TV, casting suspicion on himself by also taking two keys from the address that belonged to him.

Then, on June 8, he robbed an Amazon delivery driver working on Bradford Road in Frizinghall, fleeing with several parcels.

Miss Veale said he approached the delivery van after 4pm, opened the sliding door and swore at the driver when challenged.

The victim felt very intimidated and Difiori snatched several parcels and ran off with them down Shipley Fields Road.

He had pleaded guilty to all the offences, the court was told.

His five previous convictions for nine offences included possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, dwelling burglary and theft from the person.

His barrister, Andrew Pickin, said Difiori was a drug user paying off a debt and to fund his own habit.

He was very remorseful and now clear of drugs. He was thankful that he had been caught because it had enabled him to make a fresh start in life.

At one time he was training to be a farrier and he had also worked as a window cleaner.

Judge David Hatton QC jailed him for a total of 56 months.
