With huge Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, fresh vegetables and lots of gravy, roast dinner is served every Sunday.
One happy customer said: "I was introduced to this place over 30 years ago by a colleague who lived in a nearby cottage. It's amazing that they can maintain such a high standard over such a long period. This is probably the best Sunday lunch I've had."

One reviewer said: "What an amazing place this is. We came a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and enjoyed some brilliant live music & small plates so had to come again.
"We had such a great Sunday lunch. Loads of fresh veg, medium cooked beef and homemade yorkies . The whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. Huge shout out to Harley & Annie for looking after us and being so attentive! Thank you."

The Greyhound is a popular place for Sunday lunch with customers leaving absolutely glowing reviews.
One local said: "Have eaten here before but never on a Sunday so on an extremely wet and windy Sunday, we decided to give it a try as it's very near to Tong Garden Centre where we'd visited.
"There is a limited Sunday lunch menu unlike the vast normal menu but there were a few alternatives if you didn't want a roast. We all did and ordered a beef, pork loin and a turkey.
"There was a choice of potatoes - mash, roast or boiled - with mixed veg, e.g. baby carrots, green beans, cauliflower and tenderstem broccoli.
"The meat was lovely, tasty and for me the stars of the show were the giant homemade Yorkshire puddings plus they gave us two gravy boats of delicious thick gravy, gorgeous! I love good gravy and am so happy when they give you plenty without you having to ask for it."
The menu also has vegetarian and gluten free options.
The Woolpack

A popular stop on Emmerdale tours, the Woolpack has almost 300 'excellent' rated reviews.
The pub was taken over by new owners in 2020 and now serves food on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The pub recently welcomed well-known personalities Jane McDonald and Frazer Hines in for a pint.
Booking is essential for those who want Sunday lunch, available from 12pm until 4pm.
