A BRADFORD city centre shop is set to shut its doors for good, blaming ever-rising costs.
Plant One On Me will close its John Street shop for good on April 16, its owner has confirmed.
The plant shop, run by Ursula Sutcliffe, has been forced to close due to ever-rising costs and the impact of last Christmas.
The business opened in the city in May 2019, initially in Upper Millergate. It is now set to concentrate on its online offering and will fulfil pre-booked events at the site.
In a message on its Facebook page, Plant One On Me posted: “To all my dear and trusted customers, it is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that we have to close our doors.
Christmas and the ever-rising costs being set upon us is more than we can handle
“Please note we have the lease until September so all pre-booked events will still happen and I will run more evening workshop from there but the day to day running is now just too much.
“I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart you have been with us and showed up at every opportunity and I wouldn’t have had these three years without you.
“Plant One On Me is not going anywhere we will have pop-ups and workshops in some interesting places and I will be able to give my online shop the more attention.
“For now we have to say, see you soon.
“I feel like I have to take a step back to step forward.
“I need the world to calm down and reset so we can see where we belong.”
